Positively Arts is a 501c3 non-profit bringing today's professional artists together with aspiring students to ensure that the performing arts continue to thrive despite the financial difficulties that so many schools are forced to navigate. Working hand-in-hand with the CCSD School-Community Partnership Office, we are able to identify the schools most at-risk and in need of arts intervention programs. Our mission is to create enrichment programs that use the arts to EMPOWER, INSPIRE, and HEAL.
EMPOWER by using the performing arts to engender confidence and leadership skills within students. INSPIRE by connecting current professional Broadway, Cirque Du Soleil, and Disney performers with aspiring young artists in the community. Through benefit concerts, these young students get the opportunity to perform alongside these professionals, actualizing their dreams in front of packed audiences. HEAL through Harvard-developed arts integration programs designed to tap into the limbic system, the emotion center, of the brain. The founder of PAF received her Masters in Education from Harvard University in 2005 and along with other Harvard Board Members, they design programs geared towards serving students struggling with learning differences.
